If you prefer to book your own accommodation, that’s totally fine, just make sure it’s within easy reach of Taormina town or close to the cable car to the beach, making it easy to get around and join the wedding transport.
How to get to Taormina
The closest international airport is Catania Fontanarossa (CTA), which is roughly 1 hour by car from Taormina. There are direct flights to Catania from London, Istanbul and New York. We recommend booking early, as flights can fill up quickly especially in summer.

The easiest and fastest way to reach Taormina is by private car or taxi transfer from Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) approximately one hour away.
We recommend booking your transfer in advance to ensure a smooth journey. For private transfers, please contact Vincenzo (+39 328 496 7600) from Franco Group, who is coordinating transportation for our events and can share available options and pricing directly.
As an alternative to private transfers, car hire is available at Catania Airport for those who prefer to drive themselves. However, driving in Taormina’s center can be difficult due to limited access. Vehicles must be left in the main public car parks, which charge a daily fee.

The most affordable way to reach Taormina from the airport is by bus. Etna Trasporti operates regular services that take around 90 minutes, with a connection required at Catania Centrale.

Trains to Taormina depart from Catania Centrale, not from the airport. The train arrives at Taormina-Giardini station, located at the bottom of the hill below the town center. From there, you’ll need to take a bus or taxi up to Taormina.
